ISTAC Arbitration Becomes an Alternative for Public Procurement Agreement Disputes 9 January 2018
The contracts annexed to the Implementation of Public Procurement Regulations has been amended by the Regulations published in the Duplicated Issue of the Official Gazette dated 30.12.2017 and numbered 30286. With this amendment; regulations have been made to resolve the disputes arising from the public procurement contracts, which will be signed as from the date of 19.01.2018, in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of Istanbul Arbitration Center (“ISTAC”).
Pursuant to this amendment which will be effective as of 19.01.2018, Turkish public authorities may now refer to ISTAC Arbitration for both domestic and international contracts.
