Decision of the Council of Ministers Extending the Scope of Companies Subject to the Independent Audit Has Been Published 4 June 2018

The first decision of the Council of Ministers on determining the companies subject to the independent audit which was published on 23.01.2013 has been abolished by the “Decision of Council of Ministers on the Determination of Companies subject to the Independent Audit” (“the Decision”) numbered 2018/11597 published in the Official Gazette dated 26.05.2018 and numbered 30432.

The Decision extending the scope of companies subject to the independent audit has entered into force as of 01.01.2018. Within this context, companies that have not appointed an independent auditor yet under the previous decision should re-evaluate whether they are subject to the audit for the year of 2018 and appoint an auditor when it is assessed that they are subject to independent audit under the new decision.
