Data Protection Board has commenced the studies regarding secondary legislation of Law on Protection of Personal Data 1 June 2017

It is stated in paragraph 4 of Provisional Article 1 of Law on Protection of Personal Data numbered 6698 (entered into force by promulgation in Official Gazette dated 07.04.2016 and numbered 29677), that the secondary legislation regarding this Law shall be entered into force within 1 year following the date of publication of the mentioned Law. Although any regulations have not been promulgated up until today, the Data Protection Board is carrying on its studies within the scope of preparation of regulation drafts.

The Board has published Draft Regulation on Deletion, Destruction or Anonymization of Personal Data and Draft Regulation on Data Controllers Registry. Abovementioned regulation drafts and memorandum related to draft regulation of data controllers registry can be reached through following links.
